Babanuki

Babanuki is the collective name for the directorial duo Tom Palliser and Ian Anderson, who together seem to have honed a talent for creating simple, high quality promo videos with a twist. 

Babanuki and Everybody’s first joined forces when we asked them to create a series of band visuals for Keane. Liking what they come up with so much, we then appointed them to the Director’s chair for Laura Marling’s debut video ‘New Romantic’. The video cleverly draws attention to LM’s lyrics using stop-motion animation and has garnered an impressive  2 million YouTube hits.

Babanuki have since worked on several projects for our artists, including joining forces with Keane for the second time to create two adverts for Under The Iron Sea and again with Laura on the video for ‘Cross Your Fingers/Crawled Out Of The Sea’. Earlier this year they also directed Lunar Youth’s very first video, for ‘Nighttime Diamond’.

More recently, Babnuki really excelled themselves by bringing into being the beautiful new video for Mt. Desolation album track ‘The Departure’. Shot in HD, the video takes the viewer through a series of real life polaroids of the band in action which are set against the backdrop of a hilltop view of the English countryside, resulting in a captivating and highly rewarding way to spend 3 minutes and 43 seconds.
