As this Mumford & Sons video - featuring footage from their Shepherd’s Bush Empire show last year - attests to, lighting plays a subtle but vital role in conjuring just the right atmosphere at a gig, acting as a kind of backseat conductor of the crowd.

Someone who understands the intricacies and technicalities of this better than most is Ed Warren founder of Next Level Lights. They specialize in one thing: lights (there are alot of them).
