Shynola

Shynola is the name of the London based visual arts collective who created the artwork for Laura Marling’s latest album A Creature I Don’t Know, including the beautiful illustrations for its deluxe edition box set contents. The box set included an anamorphic 12” picture disk vinyl, which could be viewed in its full glory using the accompanying guitar slide, postcards and a full illustrated lyric album sleeve.

They also created this lovely, simple animated illustration video for the lead track from the album, ‘Sophia’, which was used in the build up to the release of the official video.

Shynola have won countless awards in the 12 years since forming, including recognition for their work on the videos for Coldplay’s Strawberry Swing, Blur’s Good Song, Queen Of The Stone Ages’ Go With The Flow, U.N.K.L.E’s Eye For An Eye and Radiohead’s Pyramid Song with various D&AD, UK MVA, British Animation Awards and an MTV VMA too.
