Kazakhstani Fan Wins Keane Video Contest
Keane recently selected the overall winner of their enormously successful Missing Hopes & Fears Videos competition. The contest asked the band’s global fanbase to make a video for the eight songs from their first album, Hopes & Fears, which didn’t already have videos.
In excess of 250 videos were entered, before the band picked the winning video for each song. Those eight videos came from Estonia, Belgium, USA (2), Kazakhstan, Mexico, Colombia and Indonesia.
The band announced that the grand prize winning video is the amazing film for Untitled #1 by Elmira Temirgaliyeva from Kazakhstan. Said Keane: “This video is outstanding. Great ideas, the acting is superb, and the storyline too - really feel like it’s a man losing his mind, which really matches the song. It’s an ambitious video, but we love it.”
