Laura Marling unveils new album details & new video
Laura Marling will release her second album ‘I Speak Because I Can’ in the UK on 22nd March. The album was recorded during a fruitful two weeks at Real World studios in Bath, plus a little extra time at Eastcote studios in London, where Laura’s debut album ‘Alas, I Cannot Swim’ also came into being. It was produced by Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller, Rufus Wainwright).

As well as a standard 10 track version, a special edition will also be available. The special edition will include a 45 minute behind the scenes documentary incorporating footage from the ‘Laura Marling & Friends’ show at the Royal Festival Hall in London last summer, and will grant fans download access to 5 LM produced tracks from some of the artists who took part (Incl. Johnny Flynn, Alessi’s Ark and Pete Roe) via her website, plus a 16 page lyrics booklet.
‘Devil’s Spoke’ video
The video for Laura’s next single, and first track on the album, ‘Devil’s Spoke’ is now available to watch online at Guardian.co.uk/music here. The video was filmed by Fred and Nick of Pulse Films whilst Laura was on tour in India last month.
