Mumford & Sons Perform On Later... With Jools Holland
Freshly back on home turf following their European tour, Mumford & Sons earlier this week headed for the BBC studios to make their debut appearance on Later… with Jools Holland.
It was touch and go up until the very day of recording, due to a nasty bought of tonsillitis Marcus had picked up somewhere along the-touring-road which had a few nights earlier forced them to cancel their show in Rome (read a note of sincere apology from Marcus here).
However, several much needed hours of rest + vast quantities of Lucozade/vitamin C later, and the fever was approaching its tail-end meaning that the band were able to perform, albeit with a still not 100% recovered lead singer.
A fine job they did too. Watch them perform ‘The Cave’ and ‘Roll Away Your Stone’ on the live show here and then tune in to BBC 2 on Friday at 11.30pm to catch the full episode, which will also include another track from ‘Sigh No More’.
