‘Sigh No More’ Goes Platinum In Australia & Gold In UK
Mumford & Sons debut album ‘Sigh No More’ has now achieved platinum selling status in Australia having sold over 70,000 units.
The album, which secured first week chart positions of #4 in Australia and #11 in the UK, has also qualified for gold disc status in the UK with sales of over 100,000 units.
After a 10 day tour of India in December Mumford & Sons are set to continue touring worldwide in 2010. The band are currently playing a number of dates in Australia, which they will follow with a US tour, before heading back home for a sold out UK tour. The sold out UK tour includes 2 nights at the 2,000 capacity Shepherds Bush Empire.
